Losartan potassium is a new drug used for hypertension. It is nonpeptide angiotensin II (AII) receptor antagonist.
Losartan potassium is nonpeptide angiotensin II (AII) receptor antagonist and is orally active. It belongs to a new class of drugs introduced for clinical trials to treat hypertension.

Anwendung

Losartan potassium was used as reference standard for determination of Losartan and metabolite in rat urine samples using HPLC coupled with fluorescence detector.

Biochem./physiol. Wirkung

Losartankalium ist ein oral verabreichter, wirksamer und selektiver kompetitiver Angiotensin-II-Rezeptortyp-1(AT1)-Antagonist. Losartankalium wird zur Behandlung von Hypertonie eingesetzt.
