Edetate Calcium Disodium is a metal-chelating agent, typically used for the treatment of symptomatic and severe lead poisoning. It also finds application in the prevention of calcium depletion in the body. It can be used as a flavoring and color retention agent in food products.

Application

Edetate Calcium Disodium may be used as a pharmaceutical reference standard for the determination of the analyte in pharmaceutical formulations by liquid chromatography technique.
