General description

Sodium 1-pentanesulfonate monohydrate is an Ion pair reagent. It is a anionic surfactant which has opposite influence on aniline polymerization thermal effect. It also has highest and lowest enthalpy of polymerization values.

Application

Sodium 1-pentanesulfonate monohydrate may be used to investigate its effects on the properties of polyaniline, using Fourier transform infrared and UV-visible spectroscopy for its structural characterization.
Sodium pentanesulfonate is useful as a surfactant and reversed-phase ion-paring agent.
