General description
CF™ 405S, succinimidyl ester (CF405S SE), a blue, fluorescent dye, is used for labeling proteins or other biomolecules having an amine group. The succinimidyl ester group of the dye reacts with an amine group to form a stable amide linkage. It has an absorption peak wavelength that nearly coincides with the 405 nm blue diode laser line. In addition, the emission peak wavelength of the dye well centers within the blue detection window of BD flow cytometers. As a result, flow cytometry analysis using CF 405S dye results in much brighter signal than that using Alexa Fluor™ 405.
Application
CF™ 405S succinimidyl ester has been used:
- to label diphtheria toxoid (DT) to determine the percentage of DT associated with liposomes
- in the preparation of the dye-encapsulated silica nanoparticles (CF 405S SiNP)
- as a fluorescent dye for the fluorescent labeling of native human serum albumin (HSA) (HSAUT)
Features and Benefits
1. Much brighter than Alexa Fluor™ 405 due to better compatibility with both excitation and emission windows on commom instruments. 2. Highly water-soluble. 3. pH-insensitive.
Preparation Note
Protect from light and moisture
Reconstitution
Dissolve in DMSO
