Sodium phosphate monobasic is an effective oral osmotic laxative at minimal concentration. It is used for colonic cleansing before endoscopic examination of colon.

Application

Sodium phosphate monobasic has been used:
  • as an inorganic phosphate source in cell culture media.
  • in preparation of phosphate buffered saline.
  • in preparation of phosphate buffer in glucose assay.
