General description

VIP® Gold for EHEC is a single-step visual immunoassay for the detection of E. coli O157:H7 in a variety of foods including dairy products, meats and poultry, fruits and vegetables, nutmeats, seafood, pasta, and liquid eggs using an 18 - 28 h enrichment protocol. It is applicable to detection of E. coli O157:H7 in raw and cooked beef and vegetables using an 8 hour enrichment protocol.

  • Validated for a wide variety of matrices including raw beef, produce, fruit juices and more.Harmonized enrichment protocol with BioControl GDS for E. coli O157:H7 and Shiga Toxin Genes assays allowing for easy PCR-based verification of test results from the same enriched sample.Validated for testing of 375g composite samples of raw beef trim and ground beef.
