General description

Propyzamide, a well-known herbicide, belongs to the benzamide class of compounds.

Application

Propyzamide may be used as a reference standard for the analysis of propyzamide in:
  • Chlorophyll-containing matrices by dispersive-solid phase extraction (d-SPE) and gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS).
  • Fruits and vegetables by GC equipped with Q Extractive Orbitrap consisting of electron ionization (EI) source and hybrid quadrupole Orbitrap mass spectrometer.
  • Surface water by liquid chromatography along with MS/MS with electrospray ionization (ESI) in multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode.
  • Honeybees and shellfish} by d-SPE followed by analyses using LC-MS/MS as well as GC-MS/MS.
