General description

Bovine fibronectin was purified from bovine plasma over a gelatin agarose column. A single band at 220kDa (reduced) is identified, corresponding to intact fibronectin under reduced conditions.
Product Source: Bovine plasma

Application

ELISA, Ouchterlony and immunoblotting.

Physical form

Liquid in a solution of 2M Urea in 0.05 M Tris pH 7.0.

Storage and Stability

Aliquot and store up to 12 months at -20°C. For short term (1-2 weeks) use, storage at 2-8°C is acceptable. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Human fibronectin was isolated from second-trimester amniotic fluid, from amniotic fluid obtained at term and from adult plasma. The amniotic-fluid fibronectins had a slightly higher apparent molecular weight on sodium dodecyl sulphate/polyacrylamide-gel electrophoresis than the plasma fibronectin. Articles

Extracellular matrix proteins such as laminin, collagen, and fibronectin can be used as cell attachment substrates in cell culture.

Protocols

Dilute fibronectin to the desired concentration. Optimum conditions for attachment are dependent on cell type and application. The typical coating concentration is 1 – 5 ug/cm2.Fibronectin coating protocol, products, and FAQs.
