Biochem/physiol Actions

Nitrobenzoxadiazolyl (NBD) cholesterol is a fluorescently tagged cholesterol, useful to differentiate exogenous and endogenous cholesterol in bacterial cell membrane. The NBD cholesterol is indicated as green colour in fluorescent signals.
