Description
Analysis Note
Benalaxyl is a fungicide used to protect a variety of crops, including potatoes and grapes. It is a chiral compound, comprising two enantiomers. Enantioselective influences of chiral pesticides, like Benalaxyl, and their metabolites on ecosystems is an area of great importance. The possibility that only one enantiomer has the wanted properties and/or the other form an unwanted effect may exist. An analytical separation of the enantiomers is required to perform studies in these areas. The Astec CYCLOBOND™ I 2000 HP-RSP HPLC column resolves the enantiomers of Benalaxyl under reversed-phase and LC/MS-compatible conditions.
